Wed 24 July 2019 | 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Salon Bagdad - montefiore 22, Tel Aviv,

Like art? Hate the snotty atmosphere of museums and lecture halls? Like your drinking with a side of culture? Looking for fun cultural events in English?

Drunk Art brings the snobby world of art history out of its ivory tower and down to street level. Come have a drink and learn about the wild weird artists whose paintings you know and whose life story you wish you knew.

This time we’re taking on the prince of Pop himself – Mr. Andrew Warhola – Andy Warhol to you. From Studio 54 and the Velvet Underground, to Marilyn Monroe and why the hell he liked soup so much. This little weirdo from Pittsburgh became king of the New York art scene, and now every college sophmore has a poster of his art on their wall.

Here’s how this works: I talk about art. You get lured by alcohol to come listen to me. Your first drink is on us. The lecture is interactive – we’ve got questions, trivia, jokes, you name it. Every time you talk to me, you have a chance to win free shots. Sound good? See you there, you beautiful, cultured drunks.

Where: Salon Baghdad. One of Tel Aviv’s hip hipster grottoes. Makers’ studios, gallery, designer shop, event space. All for one for your cultural needs. Montefiori 22.

Event is 18+ (Sorry minors, I defend your right to party and learn about art, but I can’t in good conscience get you drunk. What would your mom think?)

***** Lecture will be held in ENGLISH (סורי) *****
