Salon Bagdad - montefiore 22, Tel Aviv,

Drunk Art History, a tipsy lecture series on art and culture, is back with a vengeance. Come for a drunken lecture with all the facts and twice the style. We want to see Art History freed from the stuffy halls of museums and lecture halls, to talk about it and interact with it at eye level, with a well-deserved drink in hand.

This month we’ll be taking on the unibrowed hipster icon, Frida Kahlo. The flower-crown wearing Mexican painter, known for her self portraits, is one of the most recognizable names in art. You’ve seen her face on T-shirts, posters, and Iphone cases; Selma Hayek played her in a melodramatic bio pic; She’s every artsy girl’s go-to Purim costume.

So who was this enigmatic revolutionary? Come learn about her life, her paintings, her relationship with famous Mexican muralist Diego Rivera, her prosthetic leg, and much more. We’ll get into the dirtiest details of Frida’s life and times. Come find out everything they won’t teach you in Art History class, in one of Tel Aviv’s coolest underground art spots.

The lecture is highly interactive – there will be questions, games, and chances to show off your knowledge.

★★★ IF YOU PARTICIPATE, YOU WIN FREE SHOTS ★★★

It’s that simple. Come learn about art. Get drunk in the process.

The lecture will be held in ENGLISH.

Doors open and cocktail hour at 6:30, lecture starts at 7:30
