In the first half of the 20th century, Japan embarked on occupation campaigns throughout East Asia. She took advantage of the war in Europe to conquer all of East Asia and turned the European war into a world war. The war in the Pacific ended with the help of two atomic bombs, but the traces of the war are still evident. Why did the Chinese develop fierce animosity towards the Japanese who did not expire today? What damage did the Japanese inflict in the occupied countries? What is the place of food as a connecting element between cultures and how can a bowl of soup wander far and wide and affect local culinary?

The movie will be screened: Ramen Shop
