A special tribute to David Bowie. Marking the 35th anniversary of the album that brought Bowie to his biggest commercial success –
Let’s Dance, released in 1983.

The songs from the album – “Let’s Dance”, “Modern Love” and “China Girl”
Were the greatest hits of the 80’s. The clips that were filmed for the songs of the album were a great success and are still being broadcast on the music channels. The theme song reached the top of the charts in many countries including the United States, England and Norway, and the entire album reached the top of sales charts in countries around the world. In Israel, David Bowie was awarded the title of “Gimel”
And the song “Modern Love” was chosen to sing this year.
(Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean came in second place).

Bowie’s musical career, spanning nearly five decades, has been recognized for the combination of various art fields in his work, in many musical styles and in the integration of groundbreaking visual elements in his performances. His works spread over more than one musical genre. The way in which he played various personalities, the media gave him the nickname “chalk of rock n ‘roll.”

Now, 35 years after the release of the masterpiece, a number of ensembles will be on the Ozenbar stage, to honor the album and to the artist so important and beloved. The event will feature songs from different periods of Bowie with an emphasis on Let’s Dance.
