CEDRIC MYTON
Which was published all over the world together with his band,
CONGOS
Began his musical career in Kingston Jamaica at the beginning of the Rocksteady era in 1967.
In the early 1970s he founded the Royal Rasses with Lincoln “Prince” Thompson and co-wrote the album “Humanity” in which he sang all the songs.
Cedric left the band shortly after the release of the album and set up the CONGOS score with CONGO ASHANTI ROY and WATTY BURNET.
The combination of Cedric’s Plasto voice with Roy’s tenor sound and the voice of the deep bass of Vetti created magical harmonies recorded in two masterpieces, Heart of the CONGO and CONGO ASHANTI.
A dispute between Lee Schercie and Chris Blackwell, chief executive of Island Records (where Bob Marley was signing) prevented Perry’s “Heart of the CONGO” from 1977, the dark era of the ARK Black from going out with Eiland, probably because Blackwell He was worried that the success of the Kongos would bring the spotlight from Bob Marley, and the album was released in a limited number on the BLACK ARK label and over the years it has been re-released in various labels and is now considered one of the most important albums and also one of the peaks in Perry’s work as a producer.
In 1979, the second album of the Kungos, ASHANTI, was released
In CBS RECORDS and is also considered a classic album of Reggae Reggae.
Cedric then continued solo career and sometimes united the Kongos for touring (among others, they performed in Israel in 2007)

Performance begins at 21:00 Sharp
