Busdriver is fixed as one of LA’s most dynamic indie artists. Considered by multiple sources to be ‘The Greatest Living Rapper’. He was introduced to hip hop at an early age, his father Ralph Farquhar being the writer for the 1985 film Krush Groove. He began rapping at age 9.
By 13, he was part of the group 4/29, which was inspired by the 1992 Los Angeles riots.

Here we are now in 2019, 10 solo albums later, and his melding of multi-hyphenate musical influences with M.C. Escher-esque lyrical conundrums has taken his ambitious scene-eschewing musical landscape to dizzying heights. He has his own unwieldy hard-to-pin-down iconoclastic style packed with jazz, blues, and electronica-influenced rap, self-deprecating takes on the fickle music business, meditations on identity and race and really just a lot of incredible thought-provoking, charismatic music.

The rap extraordinaire has collaborated with a huge list of producers and rappers over the years, including: Anderson Paak, Flying Lotus, Del The Funky Homosapien, Aesop Rock, Danny Brown, Daedeuls, Jeremiah Jae, Cocorosie, Nosaj Thing, Daveed Diggs, Kenny Segal, Mr. Carmack, Modeselektor, Open Mike Eagle, Nobody, Milo, Daddy Kev, Mono/Poly, Great Dane, Radioinactive, Free The Robots, eDIT, Son Lux, Lapalux, Rhetoric, D-Styles, Moderat, and so many more creatives, putting out non-stop releases on labels such as Big Dada, Ninja Tune, Epitaph, ANTI-, Mush, Alpha Pup, and his own – Hellfyre Club & Temporary Whatever. Another of Busdriver’s projects is Flash Bang Grenada, a collaboration with the rapper Nocando.

Most recently, Bus co-starred in the Brainfeeder/Flying Lotus film KUSO which was deemed one of the most shocking films ever shown at a film festival after portions of audience members walked out early into the films screening, proclaiming it to be ‘disgusting’.

Busdriver continues to compile music for multiple upcoming releases while running his imprint Temporary Whatever and recording live episodes of his award winning podcast Free Black Press Radio on a frequent basis.

Come witness of the most memorable eccentric rap performances you may ever get the chance to see in your lifetime! Saturday, March 23rd at the Gagarin Club, Tel-Aviv.
