Bongzilla specialize in uncommonly heavy and doomy sludge-core dedicated to their one and only love: weed. Formed in the mid-’90s, the group followed its first demo with 1998’s Methods for Attaining Extreme Altitudes EP. This, in turn, was followed by a string of abusively heavy, corrosively down-tuned releases through Relapse Records, including 1999’s Stash, 2002’s Gateway, 2004’s Apogee, and 2005’s Amerijuanican.
The band gained cult ststus and a wide audience of fans in the Stoner/Doom worldwide scene.
As part of a European tour, the Americans will be in Tel Aviv for one concert at Levontin 7.
