Examining the call to Aliyah
A class with Sasha Gold

In this class, we will critically read a number of classic and modern Zionist texts which relate the “awakening” that called the writers to leave their homes behind and move to Israel. Through examining these texts, we will reflect on our own relationship to Israel, and think about what calls us to be here at this moment.

Sasha grew up in London, but for the last five years Tel Aviv has been her home. Sasha works in the BINA International Department as the Coordinator for the Tikkun Olam post-college program. Sasha has a BA in English Literature from the University of Leeds and an MA in Gender Studies from Tel Aviv University.
