The Epic and Basque Festival, in association with the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality’s Cultural and Arts Division
on the longest day of the year, June 21, 1986, Larry Harvey and a group of friends decided to celebrate the peak of summer by burning a large wooden figure.
From that moment, the event became a unique and intriguing annual festival and the world’s largest art gallery.
