We are proud and happy to announce her arrival in Israel for the first time of the legendary Arcturus band!

The veteran Norwegian ensemble began its career as an avant-garde black / symphonic black metal band in 1991 by the legendary black metal drummer Jan Axel Blomberg (also known as the Mayhem Hellhammer), Marius Vold of Thorns and Sverd, the band’s keyboardist and member of the former Ulver and Covenant bands.

Over the years, the band moved away from the black metal genre in which it began to become a composition that combines a hallucinatory combination of extreme avant-garde metal and melodic and symphonic prog metal, with Simen Hestnæs, better known as ICS Vortex, bassist and soloist of the Norwegian metal band Borknagar.

In 2005, the band released the album SideShow Symphonies, which was a masterpiece of a genius symphony prog, and a year later released the classic Shipwrecked in Oslo DVD, which presented the band at its peak with an original cabaret performance in which it performed songs from the fresh album and classics from the past.

In 2007, the band members announced that the band was falling apart, a lack of activity that lasted until 2011 when the members of the ensemble confirmed that they were returning to play together and went on several tournaments together. In 2015, the band released its latest album – Arcturian, an exemplary prog album considered one of the best prog metal albums of the last few years.

The band will arrive in Israel for one concert, which will take place on 19 January at the Tel Aviv area club.
