“Andaluches” was founded by a dozen young musicians and musicians from Jerusalem who came from different backgrounds – from classical piano to jazz guitar, bass rock an roll, another Turkish. As their background varied, each and every one was completely blown away by the sound of North African music. Under the deliberate hand of the violinist and arranger Elad Levy, the compositions played by the ensemble present both the special background of each of the musicians, and a deep love and respect for the Andalusian traditions that they composed. The band performed throughout the country and was invited at the beginning of the year to a number of performances in Morocco.

Elad Levy is a violinist, arranger and musical director. Levy began studying Moroccan music traditions from early childhood and began to perform at an early age. Levy performs with Andalusian orchestras in Israel and abroad, manages and arranges for orchestras and other ensembles, constantly recording and composing. In recent years, he has established two ensembles, “Trave Jerusalem” and the ensemble “Andaluches” whose performances have been successful in Israel and abroad.
