Magid Community Center - Nordau 63, Tel Aviv,

Illustrator Cila Binder (1919 – 1987) tried to get the reader-reader into the books, touching things and uniting with them. As her lover Nathan Alterman wrote, “I do not want to write to them / want their hearts touched.”

Binder has illustrated the books of many writers and poets, such as Alterman, Tirza ether, Levin Kipnis, Dalia Ravikovich, Miriam Yellen-Staklis, and Peña Bergshain – with the desire to be in the books, between words.

“And maybe it was my dream,” Binder’s illustration exhibit will be on display at the Magid Community Center (Nordau Boulevard 63) as part of the city’s artist – Alterman Year.

The inaugural event will be held on Thursday, February 6 at 7:30 p.m. The exhibit will be open during the center hours until April 6.
