ALTERNATING CURRENTS
Curators: Hagar Bril and Navah Joy Uzan

Opening: Thursday, July 27, 2017, 20:00

The exhibition ALTERNATING CURRENTS examines the relations between artist, artwork and audience, as demonstrated in interactive artworks which are based on contemporary technologies such as machine learning algorithms, motion sensors and Net Art. In order to function, the exhibited works require various degrees of participation. To fully experience the art, visitors are invited to touch, to be photographed, to approach or to step away.
This way of viewing art raises issues of the nature, status, and relevance of the work of art. It questions the role of the viewer and artist in an interactive environment and examines the impact of technology on the experience of art.
