There is a God in the valley!
Lyrics: Yosef Assistant to Music: Akut

There is a God in the Valley is a performance composed of one long musical piece, another step in the new genre that we are investigating. Long songs inspired by the songs of Umm Kulthum and Egyptian music of the 20th century.
The text is a combination of poems by the Jerusalem poet Yosef Ozer from his book Emek Yizrael Jerusalem. The poet, and to a large extent also his words express his unique and complex position within Israeli society.
He is deeply rooted in Jewish religious society and tradition, and is not afraid for a moment to talk to secular society about every aspect of it, and to continue to give voice to culture and nationalism in the local and Mediterranean spheres.
The ensemble has already included a combination of the past with the present – a singer, an electric guitar, a trumpet, a cello, a violin, a double bass and a percussion instrument. A small orchestra that plays a written work that reserves the freedom to improvise and play that changes according to place and time. At the center of the singer and of course the powerful words of the poet.
