The man who is a living legend who brought the Afro-Cuban music from Havana to the first line of the world music industry comes with the Afro-Cuban All Stars team composed of 14 musicians for a single performance in Israel.

Juan de Marcos knows what it is to be part of a legend and even to create it. He was a member of one of the largest Cuban ensembles of all time, the Sierra Maastra, and was one of the founders of the Havana Vista Club, the legendary Cuban ensemble that managed to bring Cuban Afro-Latin music to the forefront of the international music industry and to the world’s ears. The ensemble went straight to the mainstream and became a favorite comedy that we all know.

The Grammy winner, who has produced more than 25 albums and has been a pillar of Cuban music for the last three decades, has set himself a mission to life: to promote and disseminate the richness and vitality of Cuban music worldwide. De Carlos was born in 1954 in Havana, the capital of Cuba, and comes from a family of musicians. At an early age, he studied at the Conservatory of Havana, studying classical guitar, and continued his studies in other fields. He worked with the World CIRCUIT label and produced several unforgettable albums, including the masterpiece of SIERRA MAESTRA – DUNDUNBANZA.
The Afro-Cuban All Stars is the current composition of De Marcus, which combines all the traditional styles of Cuban music into a fascinating rhythmic cultural mix.
