The middle class of the US suburbs never seems more distorted, perverted and depressing than Solondz’ films – a look at American life that tends to be beautifully wrapped under a veil of emptiness and superficiality.
Solondz tells his stories from such a unique perspective, sometimes tearing up laughter and often tearing up His heart to pieces and trampling on him,
his view of the mediocre and superfluous existence of humans and American society, is poignant, accurate, nauseating and spectacular.
