THE SULTANS OF SWING
We return as a year to a single concert at the Haezor club and this time with a special track of songs from the first album by dIRE sTRAITS on the occasion of his 40th anniversary.
At the end of the 70’s, one band broke out in London and sang a sane voice of American-influenced songs written by Blue Grass, Rhythm N’Bluz, Rock and Country, and became an exceptional phenomenon in the world of punk and disco.
The song “Sultans of Swing” does not need to be expanded, but the first album includes many pearls worth diving into and discovering. Many fans of Dyer Straits are loyal to the first album that introduced the band with its subtle features, including the subtle and sometimes virtuoso music of Mark Napfeller’s restrained form. Rough and bordered by growls and murmurs, delicate vocal harmonies, direct arrangements and not clever but still polished and performed by a bass Quartet, drums and two guitars including the Noffeller brothers.
