The Tibetan people in Israel, and Cinema Nirvana at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque, in a joint gesture to the Tibetan people
on the 27.5.17

The Tibetan people chose, for the past thousand years, to invest all of its power in the study of human consciousness instead of accumulation of power and wealth. In the last century Tibet was conquered by China, which has actually carried out genocide-culture. A small community of Tibetans exiled to India, led by the Dalai Lama, saved the extinct culture and spread it throughout the world.
At the cinematheque event, three films portraying various aspects of Tibetan life will be presented: Buddhism as social involvement and the spiritual treasures of Tibetan culture. We will host two lecturers: Prof. Yaacov Raz, who will discuss spirituality as an action, and Dr. Boaz Amichai, who will lecture on the principles of Tibetan belief and their relevance to modern human life in the 20th century 21.
Among the screenings, it will be possible to meet YTEV activists and learn about the assistance they provide to the exiled Tibetans in India.
