Piet van den Boog | Masterpieces

Piet van den Boog returns after three years for his 2nd solo exhibition at Zemack Contemporary Art. The show will include a series of new works inspired by the great Dutch masters such as Rembrandt van Rijn and Vincent van Gogh. The large scale portraits are made of oil paint, acrylic, acid & different metals. A modern day alchemist, van den Boog’s experiments with base metals like lead, copper, steel etc. He benefits from the uncontrollable nature of chemical action by way of accidents, which bring chaos to the organized mind.

Piet van den Boog’s work is included in many important international museums and collections, most notably the Drents Museum, Assen, Netherlands; Scheringa voor Realisme Collection, Amsterdam, Netherlands, the Eileen S. Kaminsky Family Foundation, Jersey City, New Jersey, the Art Collection of Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Den Haag, Netherlands; ING Art Collection, Amsterdam, Netherlands and the Miniature Museum, Gemeente Museum Den Haag, The Netherlands.
