Fri 29 March 2019 | 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Gan Meir - King George Street, Tel Aviv,

This is the most significant political and social struggle of this century /// On 29.3 we are fighting for life itself, in the Middle East and in general!

On Friday, 29.3.2019, the Climate Conference will be held, the largest environmental event in Israel taking place once a year. We will meet at 10:00 am in Rabin Square, Tel Aviv, and at 11:45 we will march together to the government compound to make a clear voice against any government that will arise!

Climate change is happening. It’s a fact. There is a consensus in the scientific community. We are in the midst of a climate crisis and it is endangering us all. All of us. without exceptions.

The Middle East, the place where we live and live, is one of the first areas to suffer from the most severe and severe climate crisis. Already, we feel the consequences in our region – summer temperatures have reached new heights, important water sources in the region are drying up, and this is the sixth consecutive year of drought (but who counts?).
The scientific assessments warn that if there is no detoxification from polluting fuels and the complete cessation of greenhouse gas emissions, the Middle East will become a difficult, if not impossible, area for living. A severe water crisis will overtake everyone and what lives, hot flashes will become an integral part of our lives – the forecasts predict that in 200 days a year the temperature measured will be 50 degrees. Imagine a road that melts from the heat, severe damage to our agriculture and food security, millions of refugees from the neighboring countries who come to our borders because of severe water and food shortages.

We are at a critical point in human history, which requires us to wake up and act. We must get rid of polluting fuels and promote a rapid and just transition to renewable energies.
It is possible. It’s not a distant dream. And we are not alone.
Global climate movement is one of the greatest moral movements in history, millions of citizens and citizens around the world go out to their streets on a daily basis with a clear call to world governments – until now you have spoken, now act. The power of citizens and citizens is above all indifference, complacency and cowardice of decision-makers. It’s either us or nothing.

Join us and together we will stop the climate crisis.

The parade will be held in cooperation with the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality’s Environment and Sustainability Authority, and will be the highlight of the month of sustainability, a full month of sustainability events throughout the city.
