Dancing Carmel - Hataasia 12, Tel Aviv,

1872 is a unique collaboration between Berliner Bierfabrik, Two Fellas, Dancing Camel and Oak & Ash breweries – 2 German breweries and 2 Israeli breweries who have set out to brew a luscious, richly flavored, oak-aged Baltic Porter. Commemorating the Great Baltic Sea storm of 13 November, 1872, this beer was brewed on the same day in two cities – Tel Aviv and Berlin. Brewed with German malt and Israeli date honey, and lagered as is traditional for the style, this beer is truly a fusion of two cultures that developed around two of the Great Seas – the Baltic and the Mediterranean. 8% abv.

Because the beer was brewed in two different breweries 1,800 miles apart, there will naturally be nuances of difference between the two versions. We encourage you to try them both if you can, to appreciate the unique creativity with which each brewery imbues its beers.

Why do we love collaborations? Because beer holds no agenda, no political affinity, no religion and no cause more sacred than the freedom of the human spirit.
