Another week and another list of things to do in Tel Aviv.
Men of the North Country live at the Pasaz from 22:00 – great local indie soul / Northern soul. 30NIS.
Ido Shemi’s amazing art installation for one night only at the Brown Hotel from 19:30 – 23:00. Free. Full details on event page. Do not miss.
Animix festival opens at the Tel Aviv Cinemateque and runs till Saturday. It’s a festival of animation, comics and caricature and will feature local and international animation films, both classic and modern, as well as workshops, a market and other events for both kids and adults. Much of the programme can be enjoyed by English speakers but the website is sadly Hebrew only. Contact the Cinemateque box office for details.

Intimidance Festival opens at Tmuna theatre. 3 generations of original dance works by Israel dancers and choreographers. Sadly, the website is Hebrew only, though obviously the dance works can be enjoyed by everyone. Call the box office on 03-5611211 for tickets and more details. Festival runs till Sunday.
Format exhibition opening at the new Artspace TLV. – group show of the artists involved in this new community / non-profit art initiative. Full details here.

Cheesy 80s music both slow and upbeat across 2 rooms at The Block with 4th Grade Party. From midnight. 40NIS for the first half hour, then 50/70.
Mystery electronic dance party at Breakfast Club from 23:00. A new line bringing big name international techno and house DJs over, but you won’t know who’s playing until the party itself. Get there before midnight for cheap (or maybe even free?) entry.
Rock’n’roll spaceboat – a bunch of awesome local indie bands (shoegaze to punk) playing on a boat leaving the Jaffa port at 13:00. Call 0547414760 for tickets and info. Tickets are 100NIS.
