Husband and wife team Dima and Nadya Gurevich both studied art and design, but didn’t expect to be working with each other in their wildly successful Tel Aviv based studio Sculpture in Design quite so soon. Using porcelain and ceramics as their main medium, the pair creates whimsical and functional everyday objects.
With their products in design stores throughout Israel, Europe and design mecca Scandinavia, the two have created a thriving business in three short years. Constantly inspired by the sights around them on their daily walks throughout the White City and artists like Michael Sowa (featured in quirky movies like Amelie), the two can happily pass an afternoon at a café sketching out ideas for new designs.
From shimmering tableware to vessels with sculpted baby faces kissing and crying, the duo is making products that adorn our homes and spark conversations. Written by Marissa Shapiro.
