Re-Levant, a Tel Aviv-based design studio, is opening the doors to an interesting exhibition tomorrow, to celebrate the new website that the studio have been working on lately. ”To promote our new website, we decided to curate this exhibition with talented graphic designers from around the world. We wanted to do something special for the launch”, says Noam Chen, one of Re-Levant’s studio designers.
The exhibition consists of two parts; the first part is dedicated to posters that were sent to them from 30 different designers. The studio sent 200 emails to both established and up-and-coming designers in Israel and abroad. The chosen ones were also positive about the project.
In the other part of the exhibition the Fiveer project will be showcased. Re-Levant got the idea to contact sellers on Fiveer [the global online marketplace offering tasks and services, beginning at a cost of $5 per job performed] to ask them to design an item, such as logos, posters, brochures. ”Fiverr raises a lot of questions, of what is good and bad, or expensive or cheap design. We wanted to explore it in relation to our own work, which is complex and time consuming”, explains Chen.
Details about the exhibition: 94 Allenby Street, Opening hours: Thursday | 7.8 | 20:00 – 00:00. Friday + Saturday | 8-9.8 | 12:00 – 17:00. Music by Pazaz. Beer by Maccabi. Facebook event.
