Though Israel is a political cacophony, not many local fashion brands dare to exhibit a political agenda. One of the only exceptions, and the only Tel Avivian brand to put its agenda at the top of its priority list is Comme Il Faut. For many years ideas of equality, women empowerment and a strong anti-occupation view have found their way into Comme Il Faut’s manifesto. The brand’s recent collaboration with father and son David and Assaf Reeb is a brilliant example to political fashion. This capsule collection, designed by recent Central Saint Martins graduate Assaf Reeb, takes the well known graphic language of veteran political artist David Reeb, and collages them into a showcase of nine exciting shirts.
