In director Paolo Sorrentino’s film La Grande Bellezza, there is a specific scene where a young girl is forced to perform, to create a work of art for her adult audience. She flounders under the pressure, escaping an almost certain collapse under the heaviness of expectations.

It’s become a common argument that the merit of young talent has replaced the merit of experienced talent. Romanticizing the naiveté, young art has become associated with notions of purity, with many believing that the corrupting forces of the art world have not yet worked their way into the artist’s psyche.

Regardless of popular debate, the works of young individuals emerging from art school are as brilliant as ever.

The proof you ask? Welcome to this year’s Bezalel Graduate Exhibition.
