Ceramicist Lior Shachar opened her imaginarium 1220 Ceramics Studio a year and a half ago. A simple ceramics course as a child led her to full studies of ceramic design at the Art College in Israel and it has been her profession and passion ever since.
Each of the items are designed out of a love for cooking, baking and hosting. She combines colors and elements that create an aesthetic and minimalistic atmosphere, and the pottery is very practical, like her handmade minimalist urban tableware and party dishes.
Lior’s approach to the items she makes come from her home–her kitchen and her living room specifically, and the connection between these two spaces. Just like her home, the creations are beautiful, yet simple. What’s in the name? 1220 is the temperature at which the ceramics are burned–a testament to passion and function!
