Rio Grande, a new steakhouse located on Herzl street, is a must try for all steak lovers. From starters to desserts everything was outstanding.
Lets start from the beginning. The “Beef Fillet Carpaccio” (52NIS) was excellent- it was topped with roasted hazelnuts, a perfect combo! We also recommend you order the “Tomato Salad” (44NIS) and “Grilled Fish Calamari & Mushrooms” (52NIS) for starters.
Now for the mains! We definitely tasted a fair share of meat: beef fillet, T-bone, Porterhouse, and Smoked Spare-ribs…. and we even had space for desert! The Porterhouse and Spare-ribs were exceptional. All the main dishes were served with a side dish of either baked potato, smoked pumpkin or stir-friend mushrooms. There was a choice of 3 sauces: Mustard and brandy, chimchurri and black pepper with cream (which was our personal favourite).
We finished off the meal with the “NY Cheesecake” (38NIS) which was rich but delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere relaxing- the next time we get asked: “where should we go for good meat in Tel Aviv?” Our answer will 100% be Rio Grande.
