This week we went on a trip to the north of Israel for a couple of days and I was searching for a rustic yet comfortable place to stay overnight. After lots of googling I came across the 5* hotel Bayit Bagalil. My main priority was comfort and second to that, a heated swimming pool for the guests to enjoy. It was the perfect choice!
The hotel is situated in the middle of a forest on top of a hill behind Rosh Pina, in a large rustic country-style house. As soon as you enter the reception there is a calming and welcoming scent. Our room was beautiful, with a grand massage bed and a lounge area. The bathroom was large with a jacuzzi bath, complete with bathrobes and slippers.
The grounds and terraces around the hotel were very pretty. The pool and jacuzzi area among the trees was just stunning and tranquil, with plenty of sunbeds. The pool had a lovely a view of the Kinneret on one side and the forest on the other. Other facilities include an on-sight spa with steam room and sauna, free bikes to enjoy and a tennis court and ping pong table.
In the reception area there was a 24 hour fully stocked tea and coffee corner with biscuits and cakes and fresh herbs from the garden. This was a delightful treat which we took advantage of after a leisurely walk in the forest and after dinner. Dinner and breakfast were included in the price, and although I felt that the food was more 4* rather than 5*, it was presented nicely and tasted good. Not to mention the convenience of eating in the hotel. The price for the night and the meals was very reasonable, much better value than many of the other hotels and inns in the area. I thoroughly recommend it and can’t wait to return.
