On a recent trip to the north I visited the beautiful Tel Dan Nature Reserve by Kibbutz Dan. It is a serene and peaceful area filled with a large variety of greenery and wildlife. The Dan River flows through the reserve from the melting snow on Mount Hermon and is fresh and clean. Take some time to sit and listen to the flow of the water trickling through the reserve and you will be instantly relaxed. If you want something more active, take a short walk up to the High Place ancient city and explore the ruins at the top. There are several paths around the reserve and although quite badly sign-posted, there is no need to worry as you will be surrounded by beauty the whole time.
Tel Dan is located off road 99 north of Kiryat Shmona
