During our visit to the old city of Rosh Pina in the north of Israel, we came across a gorgeous restored building that is now a boutique hotel and restaurant with its own wine bar. We decided we were hungry as soon as we saw just how unique and special it was and so we stopped for a bite to eat.

We sat on the balcony amongst the trees at a lovely mosaic table breathing the fresh country air. The restaurant is perfectly positioned high up overlooking the Hula Valley, Golan Heights and Mt Hermon, a pretty good view for lunch if you ask me! The food was just my sort of food, fresh and full of vegetables and flavours, inspired by French cuisine. We ordered the sweet potato and asparagus gnocchi, asparagus and mushrooms topped with cheese and a plate of figs stuffed with nuts and goats cheese. I have to say that it was the best food that I have had in a very long time. Absolutely delicious!
