– Didge 2 Didge Israel Official Event @ Bascula – Friendly National Contest – 16 participants will compete through four stages to win a trip to France to the international competition – gathering the best players in the country + performances by DJs Zalem & Adele. Tickets 60 NIS.
– “In the Middle” Exhibition by Holon Institute of Technology students @ HaTachana (until 30th April) – The Department of Design in HIT is bringing to you every year the best works of it’s students! – Prince Tribute Night @ Anna Loulou – a night for legendary Prince. A night for music, art, freedom and love. Prince music all night.
– Breakdance National Championship @ Sarona – the winner can win a trip to the World Breakdance Championships in Germany – with singles and team competitions.
– Zorba the Buddha Spring Festival @ the Desert Ashram in the Negev (till April 30th) – Israel’s largest hippy festival, The Zorba Festival happens twice a year at the Desert Ashram in the Negev, in Spring and at Succot. Founded in 2003, the 5-day festival is a sensual meeting between Spirituality, Dance, Meditation and Music. Tickets 479 NIS.

Wednesday Night 4/5 and Thursday Day 5/5 – YOM HASHOAH
– Wednesday evening and Thursday day are Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Memorial Day in Israel. This is a very sombre day in Israel, all places of entertainment (restaurants, bars) are closed and Israeli television only shows programmes related to the Holocaust. On Thursday at 10am there will be a 2-minute siren across Israel. The Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai will be taking part in a ceremony on Wednesday evening at the Cameri Theater, which will also be broadcast live in the Performing Arts Center Plaza on Shaul HaMelech.
Thursday Night 5/5:
– Pancho’s Cinco de Mayo / 1st Birthday Party – Tel Aviv’s Only Texan Owned Authentix Tex-Mex Joint celebrates its first birthday – the margaritas will be flowing and the plancha will be sizzlin’ with good eats.
