Want to put up something original on your walls? Tonight Cuckoo’s Nest host an affordable art market by 50 local artists (till Saturday); and this weekend Artichoke (pictured above) and top Israeli illustrator Darfish open their studios to the public with hundreds of pieces of unique art.

There is truly something for everyone this week! Tomorrow (Friday) Away Days are joining Hapoel Ashkelon’s Barmy Army (football); on Saturday Clean the Butts are organising a beach cleanup and concert; and there’s a Slam Writers’ Meetup @ Malan 18 hosted by The Stage. Sunday: Pub Quiz @ Molly Blooms. Next Wednesday: Beer Making Workshop @ Nefesh B’Nefesh; and for cat-lovers, help build houses for street cats @ Maze 9 (Hebrew, but we had to include it).

This weekend get nerdy at the Utopia Sci-Fi Film Festival @ Cinematheque; tonight the Lev Cinema Dizengoff shows Cannes-Prize-Winner ‘Climax’; on Monday catch Groundhog Day @ the Prince; on Tuesday check out Russian art doc After Leto; and on Wednesday there’s an art documentary at CCA and Mother Tongue Screening and Q&A @ Cafe Shapira.

This week there are loads of local events worth checking out! Tonight: ‘Gentle People’ book reading @ Tolaat Sfarim; Modern Dance with the Peretz Eliyahu Ensemble @ Inbal Dance Theater; Saturday: Music, circus, art, standup, and more at Blender @ Beit Ariela Library. Sunday: Christmas Tree Lighting @ Jaffa. Wednesday: Public Transportation Conference @ Cinematheque; and SpaceIL Conference @ Tel Aviv University.

Cool events this week worth making the trip

Jerusalem has some awesome events coming up this week! Starting tonight with the In Print Art Book Fair @ Hansen House (until Friday). Friday: A Christmas Market @ YMCA.
