Shalom Tel Aviv!

Just another normal week in the White City… a week full of awesome events, parties, art gatherings, English theatre, beach parties, and hi-tech networking! This week’s highlight has a carnival atmosphere, bright colours, samba music, and men running around in little shorts – yes, the Pride Parade is on Friday… oh, and the World Cup is starting on Thursday with Brazil versus Croatia, head down to the Namal for a Brazilian party!



* Palestinian rappers, DAM, play an incredibly rare gig in Tel Aviv. It’s at the Pasaz from 21:00. Get there by 22:00 to get in for 40NIS, otherwise 50. Do not miss. These guys are amazing – (

* This time the chaos in Kikar Rabin is not from the Irya – it’s the Annual Book Fair, starting today until 21st June – and

* Starting soon… Looking to do some hi-tech networking? Check out Garage Geeks events, this month they are hosting Mozilla CTO and VP Mobile Andreas Gal –

* Been wanting to go to the theatre but your Hebrew is not good enough yet (Act 1)? The English National Theatre of Israel presents ‘An Iliad’ – a modern day adaptation of Homer’s classic, in English –

* There is nothing like a midweek roof party – alcohol, music, great people and some more alcohol – 40 NIS entrance and free alcohol all night long –

* Looking for some Indie Music? This Wednesday at the Hoodna Bar lots of brand new festive indie-rock –

* Unity Kabbalat Shabbat 6 – bring in Shabbat on the shores of the sea! –

* White City Shabbat have organized the Guinness World Record’s Largest Shabbat Dinner – tickets are sold out but you can join the waiting list here –

* Join hundreds of Olim and Israelis this Friday and every Friday night at the Tel Aviv International Synagogue for their acclaimed Carlebach Kabbalat Shabbat –



* This one is outside of Tel Aviv – but it looks awesome! Free beach party at Glitch Beach (Habonim Beach near Hadera) – the music starts at 8am –

* Vegans of the world unite! A new vegan restaurant is opening at Frishman 54 called Anastasia –

* Monday – Tel Aviv opening night of Myunamar’s new show ‘Game On’, in collaboration with The Israeli Ballet –

* Monday and Tuesday – tickets still available for the ravishing production of Verdi’s most popular opera at the footsteps of the majestic Mt. Masada – tickets start at 380 NIS –

* Tuesday – the Pixies (Fight Club soundtrack ‘Where Is My Mind’) perform at the Bloomfield Stadium on June 17th – tickets start at 300 NIS –
