Tis the Season to be Jolly, la la la la la, la la la laaaaaaaa!

There are loads of fun events going on for Christmas and Hanukkah in Tel Aviv this year! Here are a few of our highlights…

1. Christmas Tree Lighting in Jaffa

Jaffa Clock Tower | Sunday 18th December 6pm


The huge Christmas Tree at the Jaffa Clock Tower in the entrance of Jaffa will be officially lit up on Sunday 18th December at 6pm. The tree will be there until 20th January 2017.

2. Christmas Markets

HaTachana HaMercazit 4th Floor

If you are looking for Christmas decorations, your best bet is the 4th Floor of the Central Bus Station (HaTachana HaMercazit). If you are looking for places to do some cool Christmas shopping, check out the Winter Market at TEDER on Saturday 24th December and A Burner Christmas Market at Sputnik Bar on Sunday 25th December.

3. Secret Tel Aviv Christmas Party @ Abraham Hostel – Pyjama Party!

Ho Ho Ho! We are teaming up with Abraham Hostel for a special Christmas and Chanukah Pyjama Party on 24th December! We’re going to have Christmas Turkey, Latkes, Donuts, prizes for the best costume, Secret Santa, hanukkah lighting, and lots lots more…

4. Bethlehem Christmas Eve Tour from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem

Bethlehem (coaches leave from Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv) | Saturday 24th December 6am


Go to where it all began! Abraham Tours have organised a trip to Bethlehem from Tel Aviv on 24th December, the day before Christmas. Pickup from Tel Aviv at 6am and returns at 5pm. There is also the option to stay on in Bethlehem for Christmas Mass, and take a coach back to Tel Aviv at 1am.

5. OneDay Israel : Hannuka Party

One of our favourite communities OneDay Social Volunteering are celebrating Hanukkah with their volunteers. Together we will light candles, dance, drink, eat tons of donuts (And more delicious food) and.. we are preparing a few more surprises for you !

6. Light Up Tel Aviv 

Independence Park | Monday 26th December 3.30pm


Celebrate Chanuka with friends and family at Gan Ha’atzmaut with Chabad on the Coast.
Feel the warmth of the Festival of Lights as we light the Menorah with live music, donuts, crafts for kids and more.

7. Doughnuts

All around Tel Aviv

24/12 – Igniting Social Change – Hackaburn Demo Evening @ The Red House – the event will be conducted in Hebrew. A Midburn Community Event, in which social entrepreneurs meet with professionals to create social change.

24/12 – Bb Live – Special Chrismukkah show! @ Rothschild 12 – Israeli band Benjamin’s Brother are celebrating Chrismukkah with a free live show and candle lighting at Rothschild 12.

24/12 – Winter Market.TLV @ TEDER.FM – Talented artists – florists, bakers, painters, photographers, designers, as well as fashion, bag and accessories designers – meet in one place!

25/12 – A Burner Christmas Market )*( @ Sputnik Bar  – Gifting, Art, Fashion and Food. Come and check out some cool fashion and art by designers from the Midburn Community – admission is free.

25/12 – Christmas Celebration @spicehaus @ SpiceHaus – SpiceHaus will be celebrating Christmas with delicious cocktails and food!

27/12 – Fuckup Nights Tel Aviv- Hanukkah! @ Google Campus Tel Aviv – Fuckup Nights are back with another series of 4 stories about failure and the lessons learnt (in Hebrew)!

27/12 – Hannukah Party – M for Maariv @ Beit Maariv  – we are uniting on the 4th candle of Hannukah, for a mindblowing spiritual and artisitic night At Beit Maariv, with a story-guided musical lineup.
