Gilboa Scenic Road, North Israel

The spice farm was established by Pnina and Yossi Mess, who arrived in Gilboa from Yamit at the end of 1982. Until 1996, they made a living from agriculture, mainly from growing fresh herbs for export.

The restaurant was established in 1994, Yossi built the restaurant with his own hands and Pnina went abroad and studied the professional side with chefs in prestigious restaurants in France, New York and Italy.

The guests of the restaurant, who dine in their hearts, sip the house wine and gaze at the magnificent scenery that is spread out in front of them, can also see the wine vineyard of the farm, the vineyard from which the wine is produced.

When you arrive at Gilboa, one of the most beautiful parts of the country, you will probably want to stroll around the area before you reach us for a delicious lunch that will make your trip perfect, or you prefer to eat first and then explore the area.

Mount Gilboa and the valley at its foot are full of sites for visiting, hiking, watching or resting. There are dozens of points of interest, a variety of rich attractions, charming corners, water sources and more. If you are a lover of art and history you can find museums and historical sites: the Museum of Art in Ein Harod, Beit Sturman Museum, the ancient mosaic at Beit Alfa and more. If you want to spend time in nature, you can enjoy the Japanese garden at Kibbutz Heftzi, the Australian Garden Gan Guru in Nir David, Magen Hashlosha (Sakhna) and the abundance of springs in the Spring Valley.

On Mount Gilboa itself there are many hiking trails – by foot, by car and by bicycle. It is worthwhile to stock up on the map (and water) and discover the beauty of the Gilboa throughout the different seasons.
