If you’re looking for delicious healthy street food, look no further than Ceviche Ba-Kerem (Ceviche in the Kerem) – Secret Tel Aviv’s Best New Street Food Restaurant in Tel Aviv 2021!
Founder Noy started selling ceviche from her home in the Kerem at the start of covid. Within a few months she opened a pop-up restaurant in the shuk, and a few months later she opened her first restaurant!
Using fresh fish and ingredients from the shuk, this tasty twist on ceviche is available in several original flavours:
🇯🇵 The Japanese – Salmon, cucumber, orange, avocado, scallions, wasabi peas, and tempura chips. Served on wakama seaweed in soy and lime sauce
🇹🇭 The Thai – Fish of your choice, Thai okra / Thai beans (in season), green papaya, purple onion, orange, mint, coriander and garlic. Served on iceberg lettuce with “Som Tam” sauce and Thai chili
🇲🇽🌶️ The Mexican – White fish, cucumber, radish, mango / kiwi (in season), avocado, purple onion, coriander, garlic and hot green pepper. Served on purple cabbage in lemon and Tabasco sauce
🇬🇷 The Mediterranean – White fish, cucumber, grapes, kalamata olives, radish, chives, 10% Greek yogurt, tomato paste, garlic, hot green pepper and blush. Served on arugula leaves in lemon and hyssop sauce
You can find Ceviche Ba-Kerem next to shuk hacarmel, on Haim Havshush 31. As well as delicious food, there’s a really fun chilled atmosphere that you’d expect to find in the Kerem!
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 12pm-11.3pm, Friday 11am-5pm, Saturday 7pm to 11.30pm. Also available on Wolt.
