The Global MBA’s 1-year curriculum combines a foundational core in business management with a wide-variety of advanced courses focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology. Course offerings include Delta Start-up Studio, Israel’s first pre-accelerator for student-driven ventures. Additionally, students have access to direct career support, including the program’s extensive internship program with companies ranging from McCann, Google, and NICE Systems to start-ups within 8200 EISP, the accelerator program of Israel’s elite intelligence unit 8200.
Who Studies in the Global MBA?
Designed for international, Israeli and Palestinian students, the average Sofaer Global MBA class hosts 44 students from 15 countries. Most Global MBA students begin their studies after four years of work experience. The majority speak more than one language and have lived and/ or worked in more than one country by the time of application.
As well as the foundation courses, lectures and workshops there are few unique program elements that allow you to focus on entrepreneurship and innovation:
The Delta Start-up Studio is the first incubator (or “pre-accelerator”) in Israel. Structured as an integrative academic course, Delta provides students with an opportunity to take an idea from concept to the initial stages of execution and to experience the true meaning of venture and entrepreneurship in practice. Leading entrepreneurs, innovators, and practitioners across Israel participate as mentors.
MoTIE Master Classes
The MoTIE (Management of Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship) Master Classes provide half-day immersive sessions focused on entrepreneurship, education and innovation. Each one brings in a prominent guest lecturer to deliver highly-focused content. Recent sessions included a workshop on innovation by the IBM Israel Innovation Center Manager and a special session on storytelling and C-level presentations by an innovation and consulting veteran.
The Studio for Entrepreneurs guides entrepreneurial students through a unique personal process of self-discovery to locate their true passion and the barriers that can inhibit its pursuit. Participants will face experiences that emerge during an entrepreneurial journey to develop the ability to cope with difficulties and improve capabilities to recover from them. They will also learn how to use chaos and uncertainty to their advantage.
Students are able to tailor-fit their needs for an international element of their MBA. This year, the program provided a specialized 3-week international entrepreneurial immersion experience for select students. MBA students travelled to Los Angeles to experience the American innovation ecosystem. Students were based at the Cross Campus Entrepreneurial Hub in downtown LA.
