Park Hayarkon, Tel Aviv

Park Hayarkon is probably the most important park in Tel Aviv, seeing as though it is certainly the largest in size! It is perfect for many different activities – running, working out, walking around, having a picnic, getting lost in nature and even watching a concert!

Here are a list of some of the best offerings Park Hayarkon has:

Free Attractions

Gardens

The park has six gardens total: Gan HaBanim (Fallen Soldiers Memorial Garden), Gan Nifga’ei HaTeror (Terror Victims Memorial Garden), Gan HaSlaim (Rock Garden), Gan HaKaktusim (Cacti Garden), HaGan HaGazum (Trimmed Garden), and HaGan HaTropi (Tropical Garden). All of which are worth a visit!

The Tropical Garden is one of our favorites with over one hundred different kinds of tropical plants and a beautiful pond. As well is the Rock Garden because it is one of the largest in the world and holds tons of Israel’s geological heritage. The stones twinkle in the sunlight, reflecting bright colors.

Seven Flour Mills

History nerds – this one’s for you! Seven Flour Mills are an enjoyable tourist and local attraction, providing visitors with the opportunity to witness an interesting piece of history here in Park Hayarkon. Take a breather from bustling Tel Aviv to walk the landscaped paths and enjoy the views of the mills up close and personal. After that, you can cross a flowing stream via a picturesque wooden bridge to the old dam that once provided the water pressure to operate the mills.
