The Place for Meat (“Makom Shel Basar”) is located on Shabazi Street, at the eastern entrance of the pretty neighbourhood of Neve Tzedek. Set in a charming old-world building faced with Jerusalem stone, this was one of the first houses built there. The restaurant’s name reveals everything: it is the place for discerning carnivores. You can find a meat-aging room and a butcher in the restaurant: a very solid proof that every cut of meat served at the restaurant has been professionally handled. As well as the magnificent meat, The Place for Meat offers an excellent, varied wine-list.
