Pastel

Pastel is a modern brasserie located in the Tel Aviv Museum. When it first opened in 2013 we were not the greatest fans. The atmosphere was great, the interior gorgeous, but the food was very average.

Recently we heard they brought in a new chef, Hilel Tavakuli, so we knew we had to give it another shot. Lets just say we made the right decision. From start to finish everything was delicious. We strongly recommend the beef fillet served with a creamy potato puree.

The restaurant is designed to perfection- with upholstered booths, antique wooden flooring and a beautifully designed terrace. Pastel won the “2014 International Space Design Award” for the world’s best-designed restaurant so they are definitely doing something right!

The restaurant is divided into 3 sections: the central space inside, the outside terrace, and the intimate “Cocoon” bar. Cocoon is a secluded smoking bar that forms a separate area within the restaurant. It offers a bar menu from 19:00- 01:30 which is designed to compliment drinks. The variety of settings offer different experiences, accommodating all sorts of diners.
