HaHashmonaim Street 95, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel

Category: Best RestaurantsTags: Closed

Service ashkenazi food since 1941. Specialities like chicken soup, chopped liver etc. Used to be on Dizengoff but recently moved to Hashmonaim.

Batya Yom Tov’s legacy began in 1941 when she was a 20 year-old new immigrant from Poland and her husband lost his job. That’s when she decided to open a coffee shop. At the time you’d find Alexander Penn and Natan Alterman asking for something to eat with their vodka, along with many of the country’s central figures and leaders who dined at Batya’s restaurant.

This restaurant is included in the ‘Best Restaurants in Tel Aviv’ Secret Tel Aviv Guide.
