The Negev Highland trail was created 6 months ago, attempting to create a hiking trail which will connect the local communities, and boost the small developing tourism industry in the region.
although the trail already is facing difficulties, we are proud to be the first group to hike it.
This 2 day trek will take us through authentic Bedouin tents and settlements, impressive relics of the Negev’s past, cliffs and oases with pools to swim in- a perfect start to the desert backpacking season!

Trip itinerary:

Thurday 20th: meeting at Be’er Sheba train station at 19:00, a bus ride to nafha, spending the night at souliman’s tent.

Friday 21th: hiking on the Avdat highland, ascending Mt. Arkov and the ancient rock drawings, visiting the Ramalyia cicterns, a visit to the ruins of the Nabbatyan city of Avdat (if time permits, depending on the group’s pace), spending the night at Eid’s Tents. ~17KM

Saturday 22th: hiking in Wadi Akev, swimming in Ein Akev, Hiking along the white cliffs of Zinnim above the Zin stream, descending the Divshon ascent, ascending to Sde Boker and Ben Gurion’s tomb, taking a bus to Be’er Sheba. ~23KM

Trip costs:

320 NIS for both days (NOT including transportation, accommodation, food, and entrance to Avdat)

Sleeping at Souliman at Eid’s tents: 50 NIS (each), you can sleep outside, or in the tent (mattresses and pillows are provided)

Entrance to Avdat: 25 NIS (optional)

You can buy meals at the tents (around 50 NIS per meal), or bring your own food for the trip.

Equipment for the trek:

* sleeping bag & warm clothes (the nights in the Negev are already cold)
* swimming clothes (if you want to wim in Ein Akev)
* Tent (optional if you’re sleeping in a Bedouin tent)
* Food for 2 days (optional if you eat at the tents)
* 4.5L of water per day (you can refill at the tents)

REFUND, CANCELATION & TRIP-ADJUSTMENT POLICY

*** Included in the price of the ticket is a non-refundable deposit fee. This fee is 50 NIS

*** Full refund including deposit fee will be issued upon request no later than 7 days prior to the scheduled start time.

*** Partial refunds will be issued no later than 3 days prior to the trip (50 NIS fee not refunded)

*** No refunds will be issued within 72 hours of the scheduled trip

*** Should a participant cancel his or her ticket, he or she can inquire about moving the ticket to another Finjan event at the same cost.

*** Should a participant request a refund within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time, a full refund can be specially issued if that ticket will be purchased by another participant or someone on the Finjan waiting list.

*** Full refund will be issued should the trip be cancelled or postponed for any reason at the discretion of the trek leader(s).

*** The trek leader(s) has the right to change the location of the trip prior to or throughout the trip based on weather conditions without issuing a refund to participants.

*** The trek leader(s) have full discretion in not allowing a participant to fulfil the trek based on certain health considerations and or lack of proper footwear/water.

*** Price includes a fully license guide and outdoor specialist
