Diego San

Diego San

We were more than happy to hear that the Chef of HaAchim restaurant and the owners of Casino San Remo had teamed up to form the new go-to restaurant of Tel Aviv. Diego San is located in the trendy Levinsky market so it’s not surprising that it attracts a similarly trendy crowd. Inside, the funky music and graffitied walls create a lively vibe, and the outdoor bench-tables serve for a more chilled out dinner or drinks.

We would describe the cuisine as Mexican-Asian fusion, so we award Chef Asaf Doktor points for sheer creativity. They offer Vietnamese steamed buns, Mexican tacos (37NIS) with various fillings (including tofu), a great Korean bibimbap (54NIS), and a bunch of appetisers and munchies.

We had such fun on our first visit that two nights later we found ourselves back in the same spot, sipping margaritas (34NIS) and nibbling Pad Thai Popcorn (21NIS).
