Suramare

Ok, so we literally cannot stop talking about this place to every person we see. Recently, you may have noticed that the bar-restaurants in Tel Aviv have reached a new standard, with amazing cocktail bars such as Imperial, Bellboy, and Concierge. Sura Mare has no doubt contributed to this rise and we hope that it urges others to follow suit. This glass-enclosed rooftop has a beautiful view of the Tel Aviv skyline. The dinner menu is fairly extensive for a bar, with options like pizza, aubergine parmigiana, fried calamari, and much more. The cocktails are very creative and delicious- we recommend the Charlie Chaplin. Bookings cannot be made, other than through a connection, which had us expecting a snooty and unwelcoming atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised by the lack of pretension you often find in the hotspots of Tel Aviv frequented by the “high society’’. The waiters and hostesses were friendly and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Get going.
